Project Management of a New Build for Private Residence

East Point Road, Fannie Bay

After full documentation was completed the project required the tender and selection of Contractors to complete the project. This service included cost and contract negotiations on behalf of the Client and then the works to completion which was undertaken in eleven months including the wet season.

The Client understandably had exacting standards for all finishes many of which have rarely if at all been seen in the Darwin market. The cantilevered off-form white concrete walls required significant input to complete and was successfully poured in two parts commencing in the early hours of the cool morning in a quiet neighbourhood.

The home has >1,200sqm under roof and contains luxurious finishes, one-off features and high end home automation and audio visual fittings.

The Client took possession immediately after practical completion and has been enjoying what is arguably Darwin’s finest example of modern architecture which will likely remain the benchmark of highest standard residential development for many years to come.

This magnificent home, extraordinaily rich in cultural history, was inspired by the spectactular beauty of its East Point location. It nis not only a display in architecture, but a nostalgic reminder of days gone by, as it points to many significant moments in the final chapter of Darwin’s riveting history in the last century. 

The home features quality surfaces and high end finishes: the floors, benchtops and basins are all exquisite marble in fresh white flecked with veins of grey. The doors, cabinets and windowsills featture American Walnut timber whilst the handles, faucets and showerheads are a rich, darkened bronze. In the living room, elegant pendant lights trimmed with brass glint in the sunlight, pouring in through vast windows, creating a luxurious sense of light and air.
