Construction Completes Early at Calvary’s flexible aged care facility on Bathurst Island
Calvary Home Care Services engaged DCCM through a competitive tender process to design and construct new staff accommodation at the Mulakanya Flexible Aged Care Facility on Bathurst Island, funded under a Commonwealth Government grant.
DCCM was selected for its collaborative approach, strong alignment with Calvary’s project objectives, and proven delivery record.
The project involved the staged construction of two buildings to ensure continuity of staffing throughout works and was delivered in a highly challenging remote environment, including complex logistics and cyclone impacts.
Despite these conditions, DCCM accelerated the program, achieving practical completion on 12 December 2025, well ahead of the original March 2026 timeframe and with the buildings immediately operational and occupied.
